The weather cleared for about 15 minutes yesterday, so I snapped a few pictures of Handy Dandy, Charlotte Hawke’s 2019 mystery quilt. I’m relieved that its finished, and I’m sure you’re glad that I can’t wine about it anymore!
I enjoyed most of the piecing for this. There was a stumble when I had to choose different fabrics for my sashing, but after that it went together fine. I just really bogged down on the quilting. I took a break in the fall, and when I came back to it this month I felt better about it.
This really is a scrap-buster! I used everything from cats to sock monkeys to Star Wars fabrics, as well as a lot of tulips. Of course, the wonderful maple seed fabric!
And the bird fabric on the back had been in my closet for…many years.
Now its finished, just in time to start the next one!
