March / April Goals

March Goals:

  1. Complete Step 3 of the Handy Dandy Scrap Quilt.  Yes!
  2. Determine pattern and collect fabrics for my brother’s quilt.  No progress.  They’re thinking about it.
  3. Make last twelve log cabin blocks.  Yes!
  4. Assemble top for log cabin donation quilt.  Yes!

Bonus:  I made a commissioned baby quilt.

I’ve also done a lot on my yearly goal with tidying up my studio.
I didn’t succeed in March-Along as much as usual.  We traveled, and I caught a cold, and…you know, Life.  Ah, well.  Next year!

April Goals:

  1. Make blocks for Kat’s Covered in Love March/April block drive.
  2. Make a donation baby quilt from scraps.
  3. Quilt and bind the log cabin quilt.
  4. Decide on a quilting plan for the Slow Quilt.
  5. Complete Step 4 of the Handy Dandy Scrap Quilt.

Hope you’re achieving your goals!

  1. You do so much better at actually completing your goals than I do! I’m always so impressed.

  2. You area brave soul for allowing someone else to choose fabrics or colors for a quilt. I never do that. I ask some general information questions, usually about color, but then I do what I want. Sometimes I just do what I want. I have never had someone say they don’t like a quilt I have made for them. A niece and nephew actually took their quilts when they moved abroad even though they both went with 2 duffel bags. That made me feel great.

    • Yes, I gifted them their individual quilts that way, and they were hits. This is a queen size theyve been asking for, and I want to be sure its right.
