Valerie Reynolds invited me to stop over and participate in her Piggy Bank Savings=Money for Quilting Challenge, so I’m in. What could be wrong with saving spare change to put toward quilting supplies? So I grabbed my dresser change to get started.
Here’s my Pitcher Bank. It’s an antique pitcher that was my great grandmother’s, and she was a quilter, so I know she wouldn’t mind. I’ll use the money saved up to purchase a few Craftsy classes. I’ve never spent the money to take any, and I’d like to take some on machine quilting. Here it is on top of my treadle, but now it’s in the china cabinet where Yuri won’t bother it.
So, who wants to join me? Come on, you have time for this! No excuses. See you at Val’s linky.

What a beautiful antique pitcher and I’m sure your grandmother is smiling! I love your idea of taking crafty classes with your savings! So glad you joined the fun.

That’s a great choice for your bank. I’ll be looking for something special for my bank while I shop for this house. Meanwhile, I’m digging out my change!

Mine and DH’s change both go into COLLEGE FUND for grandson. As for CRAFTSY CLASSES … I only buy them on sale…. I bought all the FREE MOTION QUILTING classes … rate CINDY NEEDHAM, ANGELA WALTERS, LEAH DAY the best of the bunch… but then I had been using DVDs by Patsy THOMPSON, RICKY TIMS and a few others prior to CRAFTSY. I had basic skills under my belt. I definately recommend taking the on line classes whenever possible. YOU tube is also a great place to learn new skills for cheap…….. NONNIE …..

That’s a great idea to take a class or two. I said I would use mine for a quilt’/show trip, but if I fall short a Craftsy class sounds great.

This is a wonderful idea … I just want to caution you about dropping the coins into Great Grandmother’s pitcher. It is old and old glass can be very brittle.
Happy saving … and then spending!

I took one Craftsy class on machine quilting and it helped me a lot. Beautiful pitcher!
