The center for the mystery quilt, Scrap Fantasy Medallion.

This is undergoing some surgery today to cure the waviness.

  1. One of the things I have found with medallions is that I have to add each border as a real border – that whole process of measuring 3 times across the quilt and sewing to that size. It is a hassle, but prevents the waviness.

    • Well, of course this is a mystery quilt, so I just do what I’m told. The real problem was EQ rounding off to the nearest quarter inch. The borders were 1/8″ too narrow, so a quarter inch on each side of this section, so half an inch across the whole thing.
