Today I’m quilting this chartreuse Rail Fence quilt. It’s for donation, and is sort of the companion to this more girly one. I’ve stitched in the ditch between all the 8″ blocks. Now I’m working on free motion spirals in alternate blocks, with only the outer edge marked. It’s a learning experience, but I’m getting better.
Of course, I have good help. (This paw wasn’t here when I started to take the picture, but wouldn’t cat paws be awesome for fmq-ing?)
Thinking of simple stars for the alternate blocks, unless you talk me into something else.
What are you working on?
I’m linking up to WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced.

I recieved this quilt while I was in the Mother and Baby program at Pine Rest in Cutlerville, Michigan in January of 2014. I had severe postpartum depression and anxiety. This quilt…this work of art came with me everyday. It kept my baby warm….it kept my heart hopeful that my journey to madness would end soon. It was the joyful green colors that drew me in. I’ve always wanted to thank you. Its carefully draped over my rocking chair as a reminder of the seasons of life. I’m so thankful for the continuing progress I’ve made and my two beautiful girls…family…friends…and most of all God’s grace and love.
“Thank you” for donating quilts and passing along your artwork to bless others. This beautiful work of art will be near and dear to my heart forever. May God Bless you and every stitch you sew.

Wow! Thank you so much for letting me know! I’m so glad you’re doing well, and that I could help a little. I will continue donating! Take care.
